Few neighbourhood planning teams have a crystal clear idea of what they want their plan to achieve at the outset and the risk of over-reach with limited resources is high. Over the years we have developed and refined a scoping method to tackle this head on. It acknowledges that no project starts with a blank sheet of paper, but with specialist support and local information policy opportunities can be quickly identified.

This approach focuses on those parts of the process where clients most value our expertise and experience. Even simple neighbourhood plan projects have the potential to trip up those that ‘don’t know what they don’t know’. We give clients the confidence to know that their plans will be taken seriously by the local planning authority and will pass their examinations.

Our Neighbourhood Plan Advanced product runs on from Scoping or Review products to provide clients with the necessary technical and engagement support to tackle more difficult policy areas like site allocations. It includes plan and policy map production in collaboration with the client team and the production of other key documents like the basic conditions statement and modification statement.

Alongside the support offered through the Scoping or Review, Basic and Advanced products, the Premium program also includes the production of a strategic environmental assessment (screening, scoping and report production) - which is no longer available through the government funded program - and support through the examination and referendum stages.
