Most neighbourhood plans are getting trickier to position in the ever changing national and local planning policy landscape they need to navigate to be successful.

However, some client teams are better resourced than others or simply have tighter fee budgets. Either way, they only need our help with some basic project inputs at key moments.

Over the years we have honed our support for neighbourhood plan projects to focus on those parts of the process where clients most value our expertise and experience. Even simpler neighbourhood plan projects have the potential to trip up those that ‘don’t know what they don’t know’. We give clients the confidence to know that their plans will be taken seriously by the local planning authority and will pass their examinations.

What does Neighbourhood Plan Basic include?

Our Neighbourhood Plan Basic product either runs on from the Scoping or Review products or for the smaller, simpler projects includes elements of those products. For plans not making site allocations or suchlike, it includes plan and policy map production in collaboration with the client team and the production of other key documents like the basic conditions statement and modification statement.

What happens next?

We also help clients engage with key stakeholders and respond to their comments. And there’s enough time for us to attend client meetings at critical points in the process and to stay in regular contact.

For time or resource poor clients, our Basic product will be able they need to be confident their plan proposals are well written and evidenced and are the result of a robust plan making process.
