Major Housing Proposal in Newport, Essex refused

We end the year with another successful appeal outcome, again for our clients Newport Parish Council in north Essex. Using its made neighbourhood plan we helped them defeat major housing proposal aimed at undermining its emerging plan allocations.

We have also helped a number of town and parish councils submit comments on draft Local Plan proposals with a view to helping them engage with those plans as they are firmed up through next year.

Neighbourhood Plans

And we were very pleased to see the Kennington Oval & Vauxhall Neighbourhood Plan in  London pass its referendum last week. It is our second London-based plan to pass this milestone but we hope another will do so in 2026 at North Kingston. Overall, it brings our 2025 referendum tally to eleven plans.
