Social Impact Statement

ONH has published their first social impact statement for the financial year 2022/23, which ended in September 2023. 

ONH have considered ourselves a social enterprise from the outset as we have always worked towards a social mission of supporting local communities in the English planning system. As a share-distributing limited liability company we do not meet the formal definition of a social enterprise but we have always sought high ethical and professional standards.

Last year we decided we wanted to try to demonstrate how our social mission works in practice and to quantify its outcomes as best we could. To keep it simple we have chosen four metrics that summarised much of what the mission is about and for which we could compare data with 2021/22. Next year, we will explore how we can measure the environmental impacts of our own operations, for example in the businesses miles travelled per person undertaken by mode.
