This scheme was brought forward as part of the Sovereign Harbour masterplan to provide a modern high quality business park for 15,000sq.m of B1 uses on a 3.53 hectare site located along the north eastern edge of Eastbourne with an extensive frontage to the A259 Pevensey Bay Road.
The site overlooks Pevensey Levels which is a SSSI and has a RAMSAR designation and Oneill Homer provided masterplanning and architectural services to achieve planning consent for the scheme and provide a development framework for bringing forward individual projects. Framework principles include;
flexibility to accommodate a range of building sizes and formats to meet the needs of a range of employers, key buildings used to create gateways to the business park, building layouts designed to support a passive design approach and maximise beneficial solar orientation, a new pedestrian and cycle link to improve connectivity and access to other amenities and a parking layout that will allow for shared use during the evenings and weekends.
The first project has been completed providing a multi-let 2,400sq.m business centre and a gateway to the park.
